Department for Works and Pensions (DWP) temporarily suspended Personal Independence Payment (PIP) face-to-face assessments in March and recently announced this would remain in place until further notice to ensure compliance with social-distancing measures.
This change means that the DWP have been trying to assess claims by looking at supporting evidence submitted in the application form, medical evidence provided by healthcare professionals and talking to claimants over the phone.
