How Manchester's boxing gyms are making sure deprived kids don't go hungry during the lockdown

Some of Manchester's top boxing gyms have joined forces to ensure vulnerable kids don't go hungry during the coronavirus lockdown.

With their gyms closed, fighters and trainers are delivering hundreds of food packages every day to children who would normally be on free school meals.

The packs also include information sheets with details for organisations that can help people suffering from depression and other mental health issues.

Moss Side Fire Station, Collyhurst and Moston, Chadderton, Jimmy Egan's in Wythenshawe, Oldham and Timperley boxing clubs are among the gyms taking part.
