Manchester United chiefs are reportedly growing in confidence over Mauricio Pochettino's appointment at Old Trafford following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the weekend.After a recent run of poor performances, United finally wielded the axe on their Norwegian manager with the club having slid to eighth in the Premier League table.A 4-1 defeat to newly-promoted Watford was the final straw for Solskjaer with Pochettino lined up to replace him in the hot seat.The current PSG boss is tipped with making a sensational return to the Premier League and is set to quit the Parisian's star-studded squad.Pochettino was heavily linked with a move to Manchester during his time at Tottenham but the United board opted to stick with Solskjaer on.
