Manchester United's managerial wishlist – but he won't come cheap. The Portuguese coach is reportedly the latest name in the frame for the long-term vacancy at Old Trafford alongside Mauricio Pochettino, Brendan Rodgers, Erik Ten Hag and the soon-to-be appointed interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
It is believed the latter could extend his stay at United should he succeed during his short-term spell, but it remains likely that the German will take up a consultancy role at the club come the end of the season.
United have placed first-team coach Michael Carrick in charge for the time-being after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked last weekend following a wretched run of Premier League results.
