Those six houses had to leave."The incident on Sunday morning was attended by firefighters from Keighley.The end the Westlea Avenue is currently fenced off and residents have been unable to return home.Westlea Avenue is positioned in-between two water channels – The River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool canal.Further east in Yorkshire, The Environment Agency is warning that more flooding along the River Aire is still possible.It said: "River levels in the River Aire at Barnsdale Road and Allerton Ings have continued to fall since yesterday, 22/02/22."The levels within Allerton Ings are also falling steadily, however, as levels remain elevated the risk of flooding still remains."Areas most at risk are Castleford Car Centre and adjacent residential properties, with Barnsdale Road likely to remain impassable throughout today.".
