The cost of a night in a hotel has spiked in Manchester next weekend, as Parklife makes its long-awaited return. The huge festival will be back at Heaton Park on September 11 and 12, and as is common when a large event rolls into town, demand for overnight accommodation has soared.
Hotels in the city centre are now selling for up to £700 a night as prices treble at some venues.
