That is the stark warning from Eamonn O’Neal, chief executive of the Heald Green institution celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
He told a Cheadle area committee meeting the hospice would face 'disastrous decisions' if planning permission were to be refused.
Based at St Ann’s Road North, the hospice was built as an extension to the Victorian-era St Ann’s Hospital, which became part of Cheadle Royal in 1887.
