Ambitious West of Scotland League club Rossvale are close to securing a landmark tie-in with Gibraltar top flight side Europa Point which they hope can take them onto the next level.
The Bishopbriggs outfit who currently sit 17th in the sixth tier of Scottish football have struck a co-ownership deal with the duo behind the Gibraltarian Premier League club, Mark Tivey and Andrew Pritchard, which will see them sit on their board as directors.
The agreement will see investment on and off the park while Tivey - a former Charlton Athletic defender who manages Europa Point - will double up as Rossvale’s technical director working alongside current boss Jamie Sandilands and his staff.
The two parties met in Glasgow last week to shake hands on the deal which is now just awaiting SFA approval. Tivey said: “I’m extremely honoured to be given the opportunity to work with this amazing back-room team of people and young talented players."After 30 years of being involved in senior football, this collaboration is the perfect timing, following a tough two years for everyone.“We will help progress this great club.
