Hollyoaks bad boy' James Nightingale (Gregory Finnigan) gets caught stealing money from his late mother Marnie's vigil in upcoming scenes set to air next week.The seedy solicitor continues to spiral after finding out what his mum left him in her will, and an argument with Donna-Marie Quinn (Lucy-Jo Hudson) leads to him getting uninvited from his mother’s vigil.At the vigil, village residents gather to pay their respects to Marnie, but before Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) can perform a song, a drunken James crashes the event.

He’s soon stopped by Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) but, wanting revenge for his mother, he frames Becky Quentin (Katie McGlynn) for stealing the vigil donation money.Donna-Marie is horrified to discover that Marnie’s vigil money has been stolen, and its not long before Ste finds empty donation envelopes in James’ flat.After managing to get the donation money back from James, Ste returns it to Donna-Marie.To avoid her calling the police, Ste's forced to admit the truth behind the missing money and she tries to convince him to stick by James in his time of need, but will he follow her advice?Evil Ethan Williams (Matthew James-Bailey) catches Ste before he heads to Marnie’s funeral and purposefully holds him at ransom so he misses the event, leaving James let down..Ste has to push the boat out to get back into James’ good books after missing Marnie’s funeral and he surprises his partner by organising a second wake.Elsewhere in the village, Cindy Cunningham (Steph Waring) makes a shocking discovery, and has to break the news to her family.Worried she might get arrested for the stolen vigil money, Becky is all packed up and ready to leave the village, but Ollie Morgan (Gabriel Clark) doesn’t know if he.
