David Easter, who starred in Hollyoaks, has bravely opened up about his 20-year alcohol addiction prior to checking into a medical facility.
Known for portraying Mac Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap, the actor discussed his alcoholism on social media, and said he's "making progress".
Spending the duration of the coronavirus lockdown in a Kent-based clinic, the 56-year-old confessed he's safe and thanked everyone for their heartwarming good wishes.
He wrote: "Forgive me, last message, as I only have use of my phone for a few hours. "I’m in lockdown in a rehabilitation home in Kent, which treats substance abuse and Alcoholism, I’ve been an Alcoholic for over twenty years.
