He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Holly Willoughby has spoken out after "utterly embarrassing" herself on This Morning earlier today when talking about growing vegetables.

The 40-year-old co-host was speaking to her TV partner Phillip Schofield about her troubles with corn-on-the-cob when her revelation left her red-faced and Phil in stitches.

The ITV show's gardening expert, Daisy Payne, was also in fits of laughter after Holly's faux pas. Holly had said: "I've got some good looking corn-on-the-cob - I mean the green sprouts coming out on the top, don't know what's happening underneath. "That's the problem - I go to dig them up and there's nothing under there." Phillip was looking confused when he corrected her: "Corn-on-the-cob grows off the plant though, not underneath
