This Morning star opens on working with Holly and Phillip and 'nerve-wrecking' moments
This Morning's Daisy Payne has opened up about her first live television segment for the popular ITV programme and what it was really like working with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. The daytime TV star and gardener regularly features on This Morning, but described her first experience of live television 'nerve-wracking', after only previously sharing gardening videos on social media. The star usually presents segments from home, with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield presenting for the studio, but visited the set for a special segment where they sowed sunflowers for Ukraine. She told OK! Magazine: "I really had to pinch myself when I stood in the studio as we went live at the start of the show."I mean, a year ago, I was just loving doing my gardening on Instagram and YouTube, now here I am on National TV! Crazy."Daisy also opened up on meeting Holly and Philip for the first time, and what they are like in real life, adding: "Usually I speak to [Holly and Phil] while they’re in the studio and I’m in my garden, so it was lovely to hug, chat and catch up in real life."Holly and Philip were both so warm and welcoming, we had a great time together sowing sunflowers for Ukraine."The same can be said for This Morning on Friday hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond too, with Daisy describing them as "a great double act," adding she is 'proud' to be part of such a "lovely television family."Daisy had also previously revealed that she thought the invitation to be on This Morning was 'a joke' and a 'wind up', when she initially received an email from producers to be on the programme."An email came in from the producers of the show. I mean, as if!?" said Daisy.
