Holidaymakers at risk of post-Brexit high roaming charges from mobile phone companies

cost of a holiday may have just gone up for Scots planning a trip next year as another phone company increases the cost of roaming data charges.

EE customers taking out new contracts from next month or upgrading their current mobile phone could be landed with a substantial bill for using mobile data.The provider has announced that from January 2022 it will cost some £2 a day to access 4G and 5G data, calls and texts while in Europe.This means that a two week European holiday will cost an extra £28 for those using their data on a regular basis.
