HFPA Commits to Adding At Least 13 Black Members By Next Golden Globes

justjared.comThe Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is the organization behind the Golden Globes, has committed to adding at least 13 Black members to the group ahead of next year’s ceremony.
The organization currently has 87 members and they plan on increasing the membership total to a minimum of 100 members by next year, with at least 13 percent of those members being Black journalists.
The statement was issued after more than 100 PR firms representing nearly all of Hollywood’s talent released an open letter demanding “transformational change” within the HFPA.
