A man, police later claim was 29-year-old Demetrius Jackson, suddenly runs up to the woman while she is putting her shopping away, tackles her to the ground and attempts to grab her purse.
As he does, Journee runs into frame and throws some punches at the thief's head. She told WSVN 7NEWS: “I fought back. I had to save my mom.” After being pushed to the floor in the scuffle, the young girl got up and chased the suspect about five blocks.
