Fears have been raised after three dogs died from suspected poisonings in just 10 days in beauty spots around Bedfordshire. One-year-old border collie Baron died on Monday, February 8 after a suspected poisoning which gave him heart failure.
His owner Jakub Kopacz told BedfordshireLive his house "feels empty now". The death of all three pets are feared to be linked and one is confirmed to have involved a powerful substance made illegal in 2006.
A labrador named Nanuk died on January 29 and an English springer spaniel named Freddie on February 8. Jakub walked Baron in Blow's Downs, Dunstable, on Saturday but after they got home Baron became ill.
