Harvey Weinstein's lawyer, Donna Rotunno, has blasted the judge for the length of sentence he handed down to the disgraced Hollywood film producer.

The 67-year-old was sentenced to 20 years for forcibly performing oral sex on production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006. He was also given three years for third-degree rape for his attack on Jessica Mann in 2013.

Rotunno attacked the verdict and accused the judge of 'cowardice'. Speaking from the steps outside the courthouse, she said: "That sentence that was just handed down by this court was obscene. "I am overcome with anger at that number.
