Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for coronavirus, according to a prison union boss. The President of the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, Michael Powers, confirmed that the disgraced movie producer and convicted rapist is now in isolation after the test results (as first reported by the Niagara Gazette).

Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence at the Wende Correctional Facility just outside Buffalo, New York, having been transferred there days earlier from Rikers Island.

Powers told Reuters that he learned the news on Sunday morning and is now worried about the corrections officers, who he said did not have the correct protective equipment.
