Half of all Brit curry houses could "close for good" bringing the end to the "cheap curry night" if the two-metre social-distancing rule is implemented in Indian restaurants, it has been claimed.

Coronavirus could threaten up to a third and a half of Indian restaurants reliant on tables closely packed to offer competitively priced meals.

Restaurants will have to adhere to the two-metre rule when they open up next month, ditching seating in order to enforce social-distancing rules.

Bosses of all restaurants and pubs want the Government to halve the strict limit to one metre, so all businesses are able to operate at normal capacity.
