A groom was left in a critical condition after being shot in chest by a guest at his own wedding. The man had said his 'I dos' hours before suffering a gun shot wound that left him needing urgent surgery after being airlifted to hospital Police in Texas, US, said witnesses at the wedding were not co-operating with their investigation.

Officers were called to the scene at around 11:26pm last Thursday. Emergency services were initially unable to locate the man, before he was found at a residence across the street.

He was in a critical condition and transported to Memorial Hermann hospital in a helicopter. Police said he was awaiting surgery after being brought to a stable condition, reports Click2Houston.
