A granddaughter has praised the care team who were with her dying grandma in her final hours. Irene Healey, of Heywood, died last Monday, March 23, after she fell ill earlier in the week.
Granddaughter Michelle Horrocks said the network of carers looking after her granddma treated her 'with dignity and respect', making the experience much easier for the family.
Irene, 95, first fell poorly on Wednesday and appeared to be tired as well as not eating. The care team, from care firm Prestige, were in regular contact with Michelle over her condition.
When Michelle asked for 24-7 care on Friday within 30 minutes all of the carers signed up to help, despite the current difficult working circumstances during the coronavirus pandemic.
