Stars of the ITV morning show are rallying around Kate, 53, as her husband of 15 years Derek continues to battle the virus in hospital.
Kate’s co-host Ben Shephard revealed how everyone on the show is supporting her after she updated fans on her husband’s condition during Thursday’s Clap For Carers. "She also wanted to thank everyone for their extraordinary messages,” he explained. "She does enjoy reading them in the quieter moments when she gets a chance." Ben's co-host Charlotte Hawkins added: "She's still going through such an awful time.
