It was when he spoke about taking over Sir Terry Wogan's show on Radio 2 after the legendary broadcaster passed away in 2016 that Richard became notably emotional.
Wiping away tears, he shared with viewers: "None of us saw this coming," recounting how he felt live on air following the death of the legendary broadcaster at 77.
