Eva Speakman, the beloved guest on This Morning, has bravely shared her struggles with a recent health scare, confessing that she was brought to tears when her troubling symptoms made a comeback.
Chatting with Laura Hamilton on the Mile Fly Club podcast, Eva opened up about the challenges of perimenopause, admitting she initially didn't link her symptoms to the condition.
The ITV's cherished This Morning personality explained: "The only reason I found out I was in the perimenopause Laura, is because my hair was falling out and my concept of the menopause was always hot flushes and your periods stop." She continued, detailing her confusion: "That's what I thought, but I had neither of those things, and it was because of hair loss and really severe joint pain, and I kept going back to the doctors and they'd say 'there's nothing wrong with you.'".
However, after steadfastly seeking answers, Eva revealed she finally received the diagnosis she needed. Despite ongoing symptoms, she was given HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy), reports the Express.
