GMB suffers 'massive power cut' leaving Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard in darkness

Good Morning Britain was almost forced off air this morning after the show suffered a massive electric failure in the ITV studios.

Presenter Kate Garraway explained on Tuesday morning that GMB got off to a tricky start and revealed the team made it on air by the skin of their teeth.

Speaking to viewers just after 6am, Ben Shephard 's co-star Kate said: "We are here by the skin of our teeth. "We had a massive power cut at Good Morning Britain and it's been all sorts of drama."They couldn't print off any stories, give us any briefs and they had no lights because the air conditioner went off and the server shut down."The producer is in my ear laughing at me for being so technical."Host Ben added it was "touch and go" as to whether the episode.
