Glenn Murray worried Premier League games will be slower due to summer heat

Glenn Murray is back on board with Project Restart after conquering his coronavirus fears. But the Brighton striker, who had raised concerns about the Premier League “rushing back” too soon, reckons players will face new challenges once matches resume.

Murray, 36, claims playing through the sweltering heat of the summer months will slow games down and test the fitness of players to the limit.

He said: “I think that will change the league quite a bit actually. Obviously, it will change without fans in the stadiums. “I think there will be less pressure on the players, especially the home players, and I’m sure the heat will be a factor. “We’re used to seeing a fast-paced Premier League.
