Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park with booze to enjoy in the sun will be refused entry this weekend. Glasgow City Council staff will be stationed at open gates on Friday to inform anyone arriving at the green spot with alcohol they will be refused entry.
High temperatures are forecast so a large turnout is expected, although drinking in open spaces is banned in the city. George Gillespie, executive director for the council, said: " Kelvingrove Park is there for everyone to enjoy, but we have been very concerned about recent reports from the park of violence, anti-social behaviour and a frequent refusal to follow physical distancing rules during the Covid emergency.
