Glasgow Airport reopens as suspicious item 'posed no risk to public', bomb squad confirms

Passengers are now being welcomed back into the terminal after spending hours in a multi-storey car park.Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 6am after the alarm was raised in the central search area of the transport hub.
The exact nature of the item is not currently known, however, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were called to examine it.It has since been confirmed that the item was 'innocent in nature' and posed 'no risk' to the public.
