A former top prosecutor who lost his brother to coronavirus is appealing for anyone with evidence about Dominic Cummings’ lockdown breaches to contact him.
Nazir Afzal, whose older brother Umar died in April, has launched his own appeal for evidence after accusing the police forces who investigated the case of “closing ranks”.
Mr Afzal, a former chief prosecutor for the North West of England, has called on the public to approach his team if they have any evidence that could aid a public prosecution of the PM’s chief aide and said he would submit his own dossier to the Crown Prosecution Service.
