A wonderful couple from Shotts have revealed the secret to their 60 years of happy marriage is a “bit of give and take”.David And Tina (Christina) Russell married on October 19, 1962.
They marked their Diamond Wedding Anniversary with a celebration with immediate family members on the day, and a bigger celebration days later with 60 people in attendance at Shotts Bowling Club.The couple met for the first time a few years before they married on a night out at the Welfare Hall in the town.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Tina lived in Shotts and David, who is now 81, in Hartwood.Immediately after their wedding, at the Erskine Church in Shotts, the couple moved in with Tina’s grandmother at her home in Quarry Street in the town.
