Aaron Taylor-Johnson has entered the running to replace Daniel Craig as the new James Bond. Amid a slew of notable contenders like Irdis Elba, James Norton and Tom Hardy - the 32 year old is a favourite for the role in the longstanding franchise after taking part in a screen test.
A source has reportedly said that film bosses "loved" Aaron and is now a "frontrunner" for the part. Johnson performed for producer Barbara Broccoli at Pinewood Studios back in September, the Mirror reports.
While Johnson is not as well known as his contemporaries who are rumoured to be taking on the role, he still boasts a ream of impressive credits.Past work includes the Kick-Ass films, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Godzilla and most recently appearing alongside Brad Pitt in Bullet Train, released this year.
Speaking to the Sun, an insider revealed : “Aaron went for a screen test to be the next Bond in September and producers and Barbara loved him.
