Giovanni Pernice's sister has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the Strictly Come Dancing star, saying his family are "behind him".The professional dancer has hit the headlines after it was claimed that the BBC has launched an internal investigation following formal complains from three former Strictly contestants.
It's been claimed that the three contestants - understood to be actress Amanda Abbington and two other high profile names - logged complaints separately but with the same legal firm.The corporation is now reportedly "evidence gathering" in the wake of the damning allegations.
After Giovanni, 33, shut down the allegations in a statement, his older sister Angela has now spoken out about the alleged investigation.
She voiced her support for her sibling, revealing his "whole family" are behind him. "Giovanni will always have our support, he is family and there's nothing else to say," she said to MailOnline. "The whole family is behind him, mum, dad, me and everyone else, whatever he says is the truth and we support him with all our strength." After reports surrounding the allegations began circulating, Giovanni issued a statement to his fans via Instagram.
