Liverpool legend Gerard Houllier has tragically passed away this morning following heart surgery last month.The Frenchman, who struggled with his health at points during his stints with Liverpool and Aston Villa, was a much-loved football figure.According to Get French Football News, Houllier underwent aortic aneurysm surgery three weeks ago.The former Lyon boss was discharged from his Paris hospital and returned home yesterday.According to L’Équipe journalist, Vincent Duluc, Houllier sent a heartbreaking message to him last weekend, reading: "I am struggling, but I am going to come out of this.”The football world is mourning and tributes were flooding in on social media."Shut the door to this 2020, please!
