A man who died while being restrained by a security guard after he was admitted to hospital was unlawfully killed, an inquest jury has concluded.Michael Thorley, 41, was being treated in the Acute Medical Unit after attending A&E on December 19, 2017, with signs of a potential infection.
The 'family man', from Tameside, was being treated for pneumonia at Wythenshawe Hospital and was put on an alcohol withdrawal regime, Manchester Evening News reports.
An inquest held at Manchester Coroner's Court lasting two weeks heard that after three days in hospital, Mr Thorley began to display signs of confusion and delirium.
