The government has announced the list of shops that will be allowed to remain open during the countrywide lockdown in the UK.
Boris Johnson ordered all non-essential shops to close and for people to stay home in a bid to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
So far 335 people have died in the UK due to the virus - 14 of them coming in Scotland. Ahead of the announcement tonight Nicola Sturgeon ordered hairdressers and building sites to close to prevent the spread, however following Johnson 's statement the First Minister ordered a country-wide shutdown.
