Directed by Michael B. Jordan in his feature filmmaking debut, the latest “Creed” movie has collected $58.7 million in North America and $41.8 million overseas to land the biggest opening worldwide in the trilogy. The $75 million-budgeted “Creed III” is the most expensive film in the trilogy (its predecessors cost $35 million and $50 million, respectively), but it already appears to be well-positioned in its theatrical run.

Where does it come from, that shiver of doubt about Everything Everywhere All At Once and its Best Picture prospects? (Almost) everyone says it’s the winner, far and away. The picture is unbeatable. The Directors Guild, the Producers Guild, and the Screen Actors Guild have crowned it already, and the Writers Guild is likely poised to do the same tonight. The Spirit Awards did it yesterday. Marta Balaga RTL Group-owned super indie Fremantle is bringing a brace of new and upbeat formats to this year’s London TV Screenings, where they will join a catalog which includes some of the biggest properties in the world, such as “Got Talent,” “Farmer Wants a Wife” or “Family Feud.” The new titles are described as “feel-good,” many are family friendly, in different ways, but they also underscore Fremantle’s philosophy of creating, producing and distributing entertainment, as well as drama, documentaries and film for a broad range of audiences. “There really is something for everyone,” said Andrew Llinares, Fremantle’s newly appointed director of global entertainment, who replaces Rob Clark as director of global entertainment from this March.
