Fred described Manchester United’s win over Crystal Palace as “magical” after scoring the winner on a standout day at Old Trafford.
The midfielder struck with less than 15 minutes to go to secure his side a 1-0 victory in Ralf Rangnick’s first game in charge of United.
Despite only having a couple of days to work with his new side ahead of kick-off, United displayed signs of improvement under their interim manager as they kept a rare clean sheet on their way to victory.
Fred’s winner was the icing on the cake for Rangnick, with the Brazilian curling home his effort from the edge of the penalty area superbly to cap off a memorable afternoon all-round.
