Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is set to miss the Blues' opening Champions League game against Sevilla on Tuesday.
Mendy suffered a thigh injury in training while on international duty with Senegal and Kepa Arrizabalaga deputised for the 28-year-old in Chelsea's 3-3 draw with Southampton on Saturday.
However, the Spaniard did not cover himself in glory after he and defender Kurt Zouma were involved in a calamitous mix-up which allowed Che Adams to net the Saints' second goal.
