Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has suggested Petr Cech could still make an extraordinary comeback to the Blues team after he was named in their 25-man squad for the Premier League season.
The 38-year-old, who made 494 appearances for Chelsea over the course of 11 seasons between 2004-2015, announced his retirement from football last year.
He has since taken up a role as a technical and performance advisor for the club, but supporters were stunned when his name was included in the playing squad released on Tuesday.
