He has been bestowed with a star-studded squad, including the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Thiago Silva.
The most difficult aspect of Lampard’s summer was shifting some of the deadwood in his squad. Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Antonio Rudiger and co.
have all been linked with moves away after falling down the pecking order in their respective positions. Homegrown duo Callum Hudson-Odoi and Fikayo Tomori were both tipped for moves away too, but ultimately moves did not materialise and they remain at Stamford Bridge.
