Italian club Venezia have announced the signing of former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero on a free transfer. The Argentine, who spent six seasons at Old Trafford, has been a free agent since leaving United at the end of last season.
Romero, who has put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season with the Serie A club, hds been determined to find a route back into football after positing images and videos on social media of him training on his own in Buenos Aires during the summer.
Despite spending six years at Old Trafford, Romero never managed to force his way into the No.1 spot on a regular basis, making just seven Premier League appearances in total.
