The 28-year-old Sogndal player suffered problems in the 12th minute of their match against Stjordals-Blink, the club confirmed.
The PostNord-ligaen fixture took place at the Fosshaugane Campus stadium."Midfielder Emil Pálsson had a cardiac arrest in the 12th minute," a statement said.He was later revived by the medical crew present at the stadium and airlifted to hospital where he is now continuing to recover. "Palsson was successfully resuscitated and then flown to Haukeland Hospital for further examination and treatment," it added.Harrowing images shared online from the stadium showed both sets of players huddled.
