Lions staged a stunning comeback with the help of four starting Scots to clinch a 22-17 victory over the world champions Springboks in a pulsating first Test of this summer’s three-match series in Cape Town.

The tourists might have dominated the second half to come back from 12-3 down at the break, but their opponents got over the line twice during that period only to see those tries be disallowed by the TMO.

South African indiscipline cost them dearly with Dan Biggar kicking five penalties and England star Owen Farrell kicking one to secure the victory.

And Stuart Hogg, Ali Price, Duhan van der Merwe and Rory Sutherland - a late replacement for Wyn Jones - all started the epic win and Hamish Watson would later come on.
