First Dates viewers were left gobsmacked as the show introduced two very unusual pairings during the latest episode.Mandy and Stewart arrived at the Channel 4 restaurant together and shared a very unconventional secret - the duo had actually been married for 11 years and were on the show to find new love.Mandy’s date arrived as the pair were sitting at the bar and he offered her ex-husband a drink, to which he replied that he would prefer to “wait until his date arrives”.An awkward silence ensued as Mandy and her date went to the table to eat oysters which he commented were an aphrodisiac.Stewart’s date eventually arrived, who told the camera her ex-husband used to “scratch his ear and have a sniff” and used to “sniff his pillow” before he went to sleep. She then said that she was looking for a silver fox and the pair seemed to hit it off when they were introduced to each other. She guessed his age and he jokingly asked her if she wanted to get married, to which she replied that she had been married twice.Stewart proceeded to explain his marital situation and pointed out Mandy across the restaurant, calling their relationship “very amicable” as she explained to her date that they are “absolutely just mates”.Both of their dates were shocked at the revelations and they all turned to look at each other, with Stewart’s date calling it “a bit strange”.One Twitter user called out First Dates: “Oh my god, I’m cringing for them here.

What have they done with this format?”Another said: “Surely one of the major benefits of divorce is not having to hang around with them?”A sceptical fan commented: “Who the hell would want their ex-husband or wife sitting across the room on your date?”Alongside the ex-partners were twin sisters.
