Crews were first called to the scene on George Street South in Higher Broughton at around 2.45pm on Sunday. Some eyewitnesses believed the heard an 'explosion'.
Thankfully, there are no reports of any injuries. Local resident Yisroel Meir Dansky told the M.E.N there were four houses caught up in the blaze.
