The FBI has been accused of making a "giant screw-up" by inadvertently naming a Saudi official suspected of having a link to two of the 9/11 terrorists.
Dubbed one of the U.S government's 'most sensitive secrets', lawyers for the law enforcement agency mistakenly named Mussaed Ahmed al-Jarrah in public court documents, reports Yahoo News.
It is the first time the Saudi Embassy official in Washington has been identified in a public filing. It had been feared that if it was disclosed it could cause “significant harm to the national security.” A protective order also forbade it being made public.
