Family makes 5,500 mile journey to watch Gareth Bale - but he's left out of squad

Gareth Bale play only for him to be left out of the matchday squad.The Timms family from Porthcrawl had planned to watch the Welshman play for Los Angeles FC during their summer holiday in the USA and had bought tickets for one of the club's recent MLS matches.

He also apologised by saying: "sorry I wasn't playing".Mum Rebecca admitted, via The Sun: "We were totally gutted. We only realised when the boys were hanging over the railing waiting for him to come out of the players entrance.

The boys had a Welsh flag hoping to get Gareth’s attention when he came on the pitch."Bale has made six appearances and scored twice since joining LAFC on a free transfer from Real Madrid back in July.
