Everton flop James Rodriguez is reportedly eyeing a return to Europe and will slash his wage demands to force through a move.The 2014 World Cup star, 30, is currently on the books at Al-Rayyan though it appears he has played his last game for the Qatari-based outfit.
Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra reports Rodriguez has indicated his desire to leave Ahmad bin Ali Stadium and has told super-agent Jorge Mendes to start the search for a new club.The two-time Champions League winner has informed Mendes that he is willing to slash his wage demands to seal a European return - although clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia have already enquired about the situation.
Rodriguez currently earns a mind-boggling €12m-a-year (£10.1m) according to South American outlet Semana.Having penned a two-year deal at the start of the season, the Colombian has previously stated he did not wish to leave Everton last summer.
Rodriguez registered six goals and nine assists during his solitary campaign in Merseyside after regaining form under ex-Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
