Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been ranked in a new list - though neither ranks in the no.1 spot as Europe's highest-paid footballer.
The PSG ace, 34, and the Manchester United hero, 37, currently command weekly wages of £652k and £515k respectively. But there is one star who blitzes both Ballon d'Or winners with their annual earnings with Messi's team-mate Neymar is claimed to be on a staggering £41.5m-a-year (£798,000-a-week).Though never one to settle for second place, Messi could eclipse Neymar's salary by sticking around at the end of the current campaign.
The Argentine has a 'loyalty bonus' written into his contract of £25.4m which would be activated if he chose to spend a second season in Paris.
The bonus would take his overall earnings for the year to £59.3m.And rounding off the PSG frontline is Kylian Mbappe, who pops up in seventh on the list of Europe's most well-paid.
