Rio Ferdinand has told Erik ten Hag he will need to manage Cristiano Ronaldo’s playing time if he becomes Manchester United manager this summer.
The Portuguese ace was once again United’s hero on Saturday as his hat-trick earned them a 3-2 win over Norwich at Old Trafford.
It’s the second time in his past three appearances that Ronaldo has achieved the feat — having also hit three goals against Tottenham last month.
The victory put United back in contention for a top four finish, with Spurs and Arsenal both slipping up to leave Ralf Rangnick's side three points off the coveted final Champions League place.
